Chip‘s a good sport. I need to think of a regular segment I can do with her. “Weekly-something with Chip.” Something. As it turns out, she does a decent cat impression. Unfortunately, she no longer wants to appear on camera, so she drew her face on a post-it instead. Click here for 14 seconds of … Continue reading

New fb friend.
Chip and I are fb friends now. I guess “Chip” is her nickname. You won’t believe what her real name is. Her real, actual-Chinese, name. (Could she be any more adorable?!)
Weekend meal-outings and Ian. (video!)
Last night Ian and I went to an enormous mall called IFC not too far from our hotel and ate at a Thai place there called Greyhound. Spent about $38 each. I forgot to take pics of the food except for one dish. (I’ll try and do better.) After Ian spent 15 minutes looking at … Continue reading
Chip and chips.
Chip is my slight, shy, right-out-of-school desk mate. She’s adorable and can’t weigh more than 95 pounds holding a 5-pound weight. I love how she dresses! Check out these jeans/pants with these shoes from Friday: On a tenuously-related note, I’m not a huge snack-eater, but I ferreted these out of the cupboard at work Friday. … Continue reading
Friday evening: Haitham and Jody from Scotland.
I met Haitham and Jody in my elevator and they were headed to the famous HK outdoor escalators (which I hadn’t been to yet) so I invited myself. Continue reading
My yesterday-clothing-twin builds stock exchanges.
There was a man on the half-hour Express Train yesterday whose fuchsia tie exactly matched my fuchsia top. Finally I said, Continue reading
My photo studio at the Marriott.
If you ever want to really catch up with someone, listen to a one-hour conversation between them and an advisor/therapist/life coach/astrologer. To occupy myself while listening, I took these pics there in his room: Continue reading
Flight to Memphis was awesome
Memphis was my layover to NYC and Rebecca’s layover to Charlotte. We met in row 4, started chatting and she offered me a drink voucher! Don’t mind if I do…
Yesterday part 2: Michael
I met Michael 7 years ago when I interviewed at McGarrah Jessee here in Austin. By this time of day I was not all that photogenic anymore. Clearly that wasn’t contagious. (Of course shades help…) And something very important was going on with people’s hands. I can’t quite recall, but it was unforgettable.
Yesterday part 1: Corey
I know Corey from my Detroit job exactly 8 years ago. Just saw him for the first time since! He had to take a few work calls, but it was worth it for a FOUR HOUR LUNCH! (Or was it 5-hour…)
Awesome Kerbey Lane lunch
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of our trip to Germany, Sara and I had lunch today at Kerbey Lane. I would have gotten a pic of our Kerbey Queso and Kerbey Chicken, but my camera’s shutter speed isn’t that fast.
Last day at the ol’ parents’.
Parents get back from Minnesota tonight. It’s been a sometimes-relaxing 3.5 days here in Central Texas. Continue reading
Taco Day!
Being Evelyn’s substitute for Taco Day turned out to be delicious! Continue reading
Different bed. Different breakfast. (I hear there’s Cheerios…)
Made it to Robin’s place in Dallas! Burger, talking, photo shoot, now sleep! See that couch? It’s about to be my bed.
