Every weekday morning as soon as I step out of my hotel, I’m have to walk by this quite-stinky fish-based store. Everything in there is a dried out part of an ocean-dweller and hoo-boy, does it stink. And here we have two buildings on my walk to work: Blissful Building and Wrong Design. Not sure … Continue reading

Brunch at F.A.B.
Finally went to French-American Bistro on Hollywood Rd. (NOT named after the well-known Hollywood.) We both got the Eggs Florentine – clearly the best choice. Don’t ask how much it was – It was expensive because someone decided she needed two mimosas. Food was as good as it looks. I actually get annoyed by people … Continue reading
A-little-of-everything Saturday.
Here’s a video of what my commute home would be every day, but the trams are always so packed I just walk. It’s only 10 minutes; maybe less. Hope it’s not too boring. I’m trying to think of cool videos to make. This is Ian from work. The other person is Phil Collins. I took … Continue reading
Breakfast and lunches.
They’ve got a huge notebook full of lunch menus at work and every day a group of them pick out a place to order from. Continue reading
late breakfast Saturday
Around 2pm my hunger surpassed my procrastination and I headed to Hollywood Road for a late breakfast. I couldn’t resist the sign outside The Press Room. Continue reading
Groceries in Hong Kong
Since most of my hunger comes from just not wanting to leave my hotel room, I finally went out and got: Wellcomes are all over the place. I purposefully got a bunch of their chinese stuff just to see if I like any of it. At about $1 per item, it’s not a huge risk. … Continue reading
Lunch with Lawrence on Lamma Island
The guy I bought the Big Bus Tour asked me meet him for lunch Monday and we went to Lamma Island. Continue reading
Monday breakfast.
Pros: Right across the street. $3. Coffee was pretty darn good. Totally edible. Cons: That’s not toast. That’s not sausage. Slightly gross. (But I’d eat it again.)
Just going to have to get used to this weirdness.
I met with two soon-to-be-coworkers last night for a beer and I thought one of ’em said there’d be food, but no one ordered anything. I don’t know if it was hunger, some kind of coffee withdrawal, the humid weather or what, but I had the worst headache for those 3 hours. Finally made it … Continue reading
Best thing I’ve eaten so far.
Ok, this sandwich was pretty darn good. Especially for being in a box in the fridge all night. Thankful that supervisor-guy had some cash and had this sandwich on him.
Dinner tonight at Joe’s Shanghai
Looking forward to meeting Marc Lucas for dinner tonight. Joe’s Shanghai is just a 10-minute walk from Lea’s apartment.
88 Orchard breakfast burrito!
This morning I switched it up and got a breakfast burrito from 88 Orchard. Their bacon is the best – thick, dark red and chewy. This was $8 and every bit as good as it looks.
88 Orchard breakfast sandwich
This $8 breakfast sandwich was worth every penny. I took this just after the other half got into my belly. Continue reading
Last beach day!
This time tomorrow we’ll be checkin’ out of ol’ Oceanside Beach Resort. Actually, they shouldn’t call it a “resort”. More like Oceanside Basic Motel. No more scallops salad and tuna tartar from the Gig Shack on Main St.: No more Beach Berlin:
Productive morning
I love visiting Evelyn because she goes out and gets BREAKFAST TACOS from Wheatsville Co-op. After breakfast we finally occupied (well, a-third-occupied) unit #2081 with everything I own. Then came back home to this sight:
Taco Day!
Being Evelyn’s substitute for Taco Day turned out to be delicious! Continue reading
The most important meal of the trip. (Or until I get to Dallas tonight.)
One of the top 2 reasons to stay at a bed and breakfast. Continue reading
