I really like the guys running the place. Just not sure about south Vietnam long term. (I’m tired of constantly sweating.) Btw, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you’re someplace cooler than here. Continue reading

Last Day (video!)
Friday was my last day that couldn’t come soon enough. To commemorate, Chip and I made this video of this weird conversation we have sometimes.
Fuchsia Twin III
I swear, it’s every time I wear this shirt.
Leon’s going away (continued)
They ordered some cakes for Leon’s going-away. Here’s some coworkers you may not have seen:
Company boat trip: Sai Kung
The entire office took a boat to Sai Kung and spent all day on the boat / the beach.
Tina Wednesdays (with Chip!)
Tina’s our finance gal who wants to understand more of what people are saying in our meetings.
Kat’s birthday!
Went out for Kat’s birthday to a “Hot Pot” place in Causeway Bay.
Another Fuchsia Twin
Every time I wear this shirt, someone at work matches me! Last time it was Charlie.
Weekly-Chip-Something
Chip‘s a good sport. I need to think of a regular segment I can do with her. “Weekly-something with Chip.” Something. As it turns out, she does a decent cat impression. Unfortunately, she no longer wants to appear on camera, so she drew her face on a post-it instead. Click here for 14 seconds of … Continue reading
New fb friend.
Chip and I are fb friends now. I guess “Chip” is her nickname. You won’t believe what her real name is. Her real, actual-Chinese, name. (Could she be any more adorable?!)
It’s been 4 weeks.
…but it feels like a month. Just kidding, it feels like way longer than a month. It’s definitely better than at the beginning. And it hasn’t been raining, thank God. Here’s the view out my window this morning: Starting to feel more comfortable at work; most of my coworkers really seem to know what they’re … Continue reading
Another fuchsia twin!
Charlie’s an account guy. His dad’s from New Zealand and his mom is HK Chinese. He speaks English with a NZ accent and almost never speaks Cantonese. When coworkers talk to him in Canto he answers in English. We both wore fuchsia today, so I made him take a photo with me.
What I do at work (sometimes.)
It’s probably only 5% of my day, but I wish it were 100%! Rico, the Chinese copywriter, translates the Chinese that he writes into English (red) and I fix it all pretty (blue.) Here’s a small excerpt. Is it hopelessly nerdy that I like this so much?
They took my employee photo today.
Ian interview (video!) and shipping to HK for just $12.85
Here’s Ian discussing his busy day. Rico’s been sick, so I should give him a break. (Plus, I think this is technically during his lunch hour.) Finally, clothes. Turns out the office is more jeans & flip-flops than I guessed. And while I will not be wearing flip-flops to work, I wish I’d brought some … Continue reading
Well! The stereo’s working! (video)
Here’s me at work today.
Chip and chips.
Chip is my slight, shy, right-out-of-school desk mate. She’s adorable and can’t weigh more than 95 pounds holding a 5-pound weight. I love how she dresses! Check out these jeans/pants with these shoes from Friday: On a tenuously-related note, I’m not a huge snack-eater, but I ferreted these out of the cupboard at work Friday. … Continue reading
How cute is Chip?!
Sorry about the noise in the background; music was playing, but I don’t remember it sounding like a horror film. Forget that though, how cute is my desk-mate?!
Why last week sucked.
Last week at work was the worst. (Which is pretty bad, considering it was my first full week.) Continue reading
How to secretly photograph people with your laptop.
Taking covert pics is easy! Just open Photobooth, position your cursor over the red shutter release, totally darken your monitor, position your laptop and snap away! Continue reading
