Last beach day!

Last beach day!

This time tomorrow we’ll be checkin’ out of ol’ Oceanside Beach Resort. Actually, they shouldn’t call it a “resort”. More like Oceanside Basic Motel. No more scallops salad and tuna tartar from the Gig Shack on Main St.: No more Beach Berlin:

What I know about Hong Kong. (Not much, really.)

The Hong Kong wikipedia entry basically tells me it’s warm – 80’s in the summer / 50’s in the winter – and pretty British. And technically China, but not really. More useful than a straightforward, factual wikipedia is this fb message from a friend who would know:

Waking up to Berlin in New York

Waking up to Berlin in New York

This was what I opened my eyes to this morning: Look at this crazy rat! His name’s Berlin, but I call him “Berle”. Kind of an old-man name for a surprisingly-old teddy bear dog. (Or, if you prefer, lhasa Apso.)

Productive morning

I love visiting Evelyn because she goes out and gets BREAKFAST TACOS from Wheatsville Co-op. After breakfast we finally occupied (well, a-third-occupied) unit #2081 with everything I own.  Then came back home to this sight:

Storage unit. Check!

Storage unit. Check!

Who knew the college kids would snatch up all the daggone storage units for the summer! Got a 4’x10′  until a 5’x5′ comes available. Here’s Evelyn with Andrea, our professional storage consultant.

Awesome Kerbey Lane lunch

Awesome Kerbey Lane lunch

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of our trip to Germany, Sara and I had lunch today at Kerbey Lane. I would have gotten a pic of our Kerbey Queso and Kerbey Chicken, but my camera’s shutter speed isn’t that fast.
