Hastily-Written Post

I got a job! I have 15 minutes before I need to jump in a cab (I start in an hour!) and WordPress is slow as molasses here, so this won’t be a lot.

I got a one-month contract at a great agency – the flagship office in the US is the one who did all the cool apple advertising, even the “1984” commercial from 30 years ago.

I hung out all day with Sophie,a 24-year old girl from Jersey and Binh, a Vietnamese doctor from OC, California. By “Jersey,” I actually mean the small island in the UK just off the coast of France. They’re actually not part of England and have their own currency. They’re the only place in the UK to have been occupied by the Nazis in WWII.

The doctor’s a family practice guy who moved to the US as a child in 1983. This is his first visit back to Vietnam since then. His Language skills are perfect – Sophie and I basically had a translator the entire day. Here they are, my new buddies!

We’re going out again tonight after my first day of work! So not sure when I’ll be able to post, but I’m taking pictures!
