For this week’s “big” photo challenge I moseyed over to the Promenade (about a half-hour mosey) and visited the biggest Ferris wheel in the world. The Singapore Flyer is 42 stories high and takes 32 minutes to revolve all the way around.
I timed the ride pretty well – the sun set as our capsule apexed. Sky was a bit hazy though, from fires in Indonesia.
Trivia: The Ferris wheel’s named after George Washington Gale Ferris Jr., who made the first one for the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair.
gave me the chills!
Do they celebrate Halloween there? If not, is there some kind of appreciation for the macabre? Haunted tours of historical places?
Awesome, but not big, HUGE! Hey, great photos. Thanks for sharing…
