Kerry and I went to the National Museum of Singapore where I came across the term “Peranakan”, which I don’t think I’ve seen before. My definition is “mixed-ethnicity people, found round these parts”. As you can read on this thread, defining the term further gets you quickly into the weeds.
We only had an hour (people to meet, places to be!) but here are some pics:
