You don’t have to listen to Dave Ramsey long to hear someone call up and yell the title of this post. I don’t think I realized at the time how much the burden of my staggering student loan debt ($50k) affected me. Now that I’m debt-free and have a little in the bank, I feel like a new woman.

Dave Ramsey’s deal works. Even at 0%, debt just isn’t worth it. Cash, baby.

So what’s the plan? Simple:

1. Stop spending money. No, seriously. Stop.

2. Get a raise and/or second job.

3. Repeat.
