Tennessee’s my halfway point. I didn’t want to just drive as long as I could, then pull over at some Days Inn (ick!) out of desperation. So I researched b&b’s in the Memphis/Jackson area and decided on Highland Place. I called the owner a week before, told her what I was doing and asked if I could pay $100 cash instead of $145+ the rooms are listed for. And done! She said it was fine. So here’s where I’m staying tonight!
